We welcome visits from parents and children at any time of the year.
Please ring 01773 822771 or call in to make an appointment for a visit to the school, when we will be very pleased to show you around and answer any questions.
If your child was born between 1st September 2021 and 31st August 2022 they will be eligible to start school in September 2026.
You should apply for their primary school place by midnight on 15th January 2026.
You will be able to make your application from 9am on 10th November 2025.
You will be made aware of the decision on 16th April 2026.
Herbert Strutt Primary School will follow the Derbyshire County Council’s co-ordinated admission scheme for primary schools.
The co-ordinated scheme covers pupils starting school in Reception Class and for in-year admissions.
