Early Help Offer
Early help, also known as early intervention, is support given to a family when a problem first emerges. It can be provided at any stage in a child or young person's life. This page explains the offer of help to families that we have in place at school, as well as signposting you to the support Amber Valley has in place.
School Support

Our School Learning Mentor is Miss Steel learningmentor@herbertstrutt.derbyshire.sch.uk
- The Family Support Worker for our cluster of schools is Chloe Mountney.
- Our team of teaching assistants support pupils in class with their social and emotional needs, as well as with their learning needs.
- Across the team our teaching assistants, have attended training in: Mental Health 1st Aid; Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs); Autism awareness.
Amber Valley Early Help Support
Domestic Abuse-Derbyshire Domestic Abuse Helpline advisors can chat to you discreetly and provide you with emotional and practical support.
The helpline is open from 8am-10pm Monday to Friday. Call 08000 198 668 or text 07534 617 252.
