In 2021-22, we took part in a programme to review how we teach phonics, to ensure greater consistency and success with phonics and early reading. This involved us: auditing our practice; writing an action plan; and working with an external Phonics Champion to develop staff knowledge and expertise.
From September 2022, we are using a systematic, synthetic programme (SSP) called 'Little Wandle'.
